Was it a bird, was it a plane? No it was Cellular’s Natalie parachuting for charity!

Descending 12,000 feet in just over four minutes Natalie from Cellular Solutions Marketing department raised over £1000 for charity.
As the clouds parted and the sun started to beam through the sky on the August bank holiday Cellular’s very own Natalie joined 19 other people in an exhilarating and terrifying tandem skydive. Strapped to an instructor the plane ascended to an altitude of 12,000 feet before they were one by one thrown out of the plane, plummeting to earth at speeds of over 120 miles per hour. Eventually raising a grand total of £1090 for the charity Learning for Life which had a very emotional tie to the day.
As Natalie explains; “I had the distinct pleasure to work with one of the Trustees of Learning for Life Dan Doherty who most sadly passed away recently and thus I am jumping in his memory to honour such a fantastic man who brought so much to everyone he met.”
This will be used by the charity to help build the Dan Doherty Memorial School. A brand new school to replace one of the twelve lost in the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015.
Dan Doherty, who was a trustee of learning for life, sadly passed away in March this year. I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with him back in 2013 when he and his team at Cadence worked tirelessly to assist Cellular Solutions and I am sure many of you will remember his visits.
His lasting legacy through Learning for Life will be long lasting through the memorial school that will provide catch-up education for vulnerable children from marginalised communities, who have either dropped out of school or never been, so they can be reintegrated into the mainstream education system.
