Vodafone to roll out pioneering new WiFi calling, so you can make calls where you’d normally be out of reach.

Constantly developing technology to minimise signal not-spots Wi-Fi Calling from Vodafone will now seamlessly enable customers to make and receive calls in areas of no signal.
Integrated directly into the network it has no additional apps, processes or buttons to push, you simply use your phone as normal and calls will be sent a received through the WiFi network when the handset detects there is no available network coverage.
Vodafone UK Consumer Director Cindy Rose said:
“Our WiFi calling service allows customers to talk to loved ones, friends and colleagues for longer and in many more places. It is easy to use and doesn’t cost a penny more. It works wherever a customer is connected to WiFi, in a café, at home or the office, and automatically connects just like a normal call when a mobile signal is weak or non-existent.”
Available at no extra cost to Vodafone Pay Monthly Red Bundled tariffs with compatible handsets, this release is the latest in the series of innovative solutions rolled out by Vodafone in their £2 billion investment programme that has fought rural not-spots with the Rural Open Sure Signal programme, bringing signal to communities for the first time.
Cindy Rose continued to say:
“Vodafone WiFi Calling is one of a series of future voice services we are launching for our customers over the next few months.”
