Vodafone have broken into the consumer broadband market by offering astonishing 76Mbps broadband speeds.
Vodafone broke into the consumer broadband market with aplomb not only offering great broadband speeds but launching a market leading innovative device for their users.
Vodafone announced in July their intention to launch into the consumer broadband and landline market, extending upon their already established position as a top business provider of these services. Setting the foundations to becoming one of the UK’s quad-play household providers they have distinguished themselves immediately by focusing on the consumer experience with the launch of Vodafone Connect.
The Vodafone Connect router is app-enabled to bring control of the internet to your fingertips. Harnessing the latest technology in Wi-Fi connectivity the app offers a variety of functions: ‘Boost’ supercharges any selected device connected to the home network, giving that device priority over others; ‘Beam’, with unique Beamforming technology, focuses Wi-Fi signal to compatible devices wherever they are in the home; ‘Family Time’ enables users to easily manage and set time limits for users, giving them control over when Wi-Fi is available and when it’s not; or ‘Guest Wi-Fi’ allows controlled Wi-Fi access to household guests in one click. The Vodafone Connect Routers will be distributed for free as a standard to all Vodafone broadband customers.
CEO of Vodafone Jeroen Hoencamp was enthusiastic about the launch stating;

Further focusing on the customer experience Vodafone has also released details of their incentive for existing Vodafone mobile customers as a thank you for their continued support. Existing customers will receive £5 off the standard broadband price per month alongside it being half price for the first twelve months of the contract. Vodafone Red pay monthly customers also receive inclusive calls anytime to landline with an additional 300 minutes for calling mobiles. A substantial bonus on top of the standard inclusive evening and weekend calls.
