CS Team run the capital!

Set against an overcast sky this Sunday Joe, Sean and Natalie set off to the capital to run the Vitality British 10k London run. Starting in Piccadilly outside The Cavalry & Guards Club on Hyde Park corner, they made their way past numerous London landmarks including the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. One of the most unique routes in the world; they were spurred on by live entertainment along the route and cheered on by tens of thousands of spectators lining the route from start to finish.
They all crossed the finish line in under 1hr and 20mins of hard running, which was all for raising money for the charity Learning for Life. Working to provide and support education in South Asia, they aim to help the most marginalised members of society who are often denied access to education. Through building schools, developing adult vocational training, enabling and promoting women’s empowerment and local community participation they establish sustainable and permanent differences to the communities they reach. Having established secured links in Pakistan and Afghanistan Learning for Life are now expanding into Bangladesh, Nepal and India.
Their latest project is building the Daniel Doherty Memorial School, commemorating Dan Doherty, a trustee of Learning for Life, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a short battle with cancer. We at Cellular were fortunate enough to have worked with him and experienced his magnanimous and wonderfully intellectual nature and it is our pleasure to have helped contribute towards immortalising his legacy by running the 10k.
