Cellular Solutions Team Walk on Sunshine after raising £2851 for Charity

The gruelling 16KM walk over the South Downs was completed by all 14 staff members who tackled it together to raise money for six charities that have causes very close to their hearts.
The volunteers, from all parts of the company, set off across the Downs in scorching temperatures from Stanmer Park, by the stately Stanmer house. The circular route then took the volunteers up the daunting Ditchling beacon, the highest point in the county of East Sussex. The group also passed the Chattri, a war memorial for the Indian soldiers that fought in the First World War, a perfect moment to reflect, 100 years on from the start of the Great War, and catch breath before completing the last stretch.
Cellular Solutions director Damien Mottram: “I’m so proud of the team that completed the challenge – just as I’m proud of this and all of the work we do with our various charities. It’s close to the core of our culture at Cellular Solutions and it’s always a thrill, but never a surprise, to see so many of our staff raising money for our charities.”
The six charities to benefit from the walk were; Stone Pillow a homeless charity for the Chichester and Arun Districts. They offer shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives.
The Children’s Trust the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, multiple disabilities and complex health needs. They help children with multiple disabilities to give them full, happy lives.
St Catherine’s Hospice a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers. They provide high quality hospice care, free of charge, to people living in Crawley, Horsham, Mid-Sussex, Dorking and East Sussex.
