Cellular solutions raises £73.20 with a company bring and buy sale!

At Cellular Solutions we are really proud of the work we do in the community and for charity. It’s a great point of bonding for all of our staff and a great way for us all to keep an eye on the important things in life. Not to say that giving our customers the best mobile and landline solutions in the South East isn’t worth doing – we’re really committed to that, but we also practise what we preach about a work-life balance.
We support various charities throughout the year with large and small fundraisers and activities – and they are always fun – whether we’re donating our time in volunteering, sponsoring ambitious cycle challenges, dressing as Santa for a day or going all ‘Blue Peter’ with a company bring and buy sale.
After transforming a meeting room into our own little shop for the day; people perused the eclectic mix of home wares, clothes and jewellery. Whilst almost all the goods sold, any leftover were donated to the Chestnut Tree House charity shop.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive, life-limiting medical conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. You can read more about how we’ve been involved in the charity and what it means to us on our Facebook page.
We also gave some of the proceeds to Kevin’s Brain Cancer Treatment Fund which has been set up to assist Kevin, who has been diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme grade 4 brain tumour. The money raised by the fund helps to pay for life extending treatment that is currently unavailable on the NHS that costs £1,000 a week.
Kevin’s friends and family are appealing for donations to help continue his treatment, and as he is a sibling of a former employee we are extra committed to supporting this cause whole heartedly. To find out more about the fund visit his GoFundMe page, and if you are able to – please make a donation. We’ll be thinking of more ways to help Kevin’s family and friends in the coming weeks and months – stay tuned, and follow our Facebook page for regular updates.
